Union City's Economic Development Department is chaired by the Mayor and includes all related department heads. Tools are in place to begin active dialog quickly. We work closely with the Randolph County Economic Development Corporation on larger project and with relevant Indiana state offices as required.
Progress Park is a co-development of the city and a local commercial development company. 88 acres, shovel ready sites with utilities, water and sewer, and high-speed internet. Real estate costs and cost of living in general are highly favorable. Seasoned regional workforce available.
The revitalization of downtown Union City is a work in process, and there is available space and an openness to work with enterprising business people.
This is an early artist rendering a VISION CORNER, once an apothecary-variety store with upstairs apartments. The new vision includes studios for our locally operated TV station, a combination production and retail location for promotional products, and an Internet Cafe available to students and independent entrepreneurs. Launch date, fall 2021.
This project is an example of Union City's record of success in funding innovation by grants including economic development and historical landmark partners.
A marriage of small town lifestyle and highly favorable cost of doing business. One-person businesses, usually internet focused, can go to work in Union City and compete anywhere in the world. The city provides strong internet capability and encourages collaboration among our homestead entrepreneurs.
