We have reached the $50,000 goal, assuring that we will receive a $50,000 matching grant. THANK YOU to all who donated and who helped spread the word.
During the campaign, we received great ideas to strengthen this historical story, including artifacts inside the Rail Tower and murals outside that will recreate the view that Rail Tower employees had while directing traffic. We have set an EXTENDED GOAL of $60,000 to help pay for these additions to a project that will improve downtown tourist activity, all part of downtown revitalization.
Deadline is March 20. Scroll south to Donation Form.
For just over $90,000, We can move the tower and refurbish it, ready to provide restrooms and a visitors' information center -- and in a value sense, a great addition now and for generations to come.
We are enhancing the lifestyle value of Artisan Crossing, adding another link to the downtown revitalization effort, and adding another historical landmark to Union City's unique cultural tradition.
Because of the historical preservation value of the project, we have been approved for a $50,000 matching grant by IHCDA, the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority!
This grant will match our giving dollar for dollar to $50,000, 100% return on investment
Our campaign is using the Patronicity platform, formal partner of IHCDA in the project.
